INTRODUCTION:
Adolescents and women in rural cameroon face teenage pregnancy, reproductive health risks, and preventable maternal morbidity. Barriers to education and services are amplified by stigma, poverty, and limited infrastructure. To address these gaps, the 2025 balengou campaign prioritized maternal and adolescent health education alongside free consultations and specialty services.^1

METHODS:
From 3–10 august 2025, more than 70 students from medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, and laboratory sciences worked with alumni doctors and ngo partners at the balengou integrated health center. Activities included health talks on maternal health, contraception, adolescent health, hygiene, nutrition, and substance misuse; consultations; laboratory tests (pregnancy, hiv, hepatitis, malaria); ophthalmic, dental, and surgical services; and free medication. Data were obtained from campaign registers.

RESULTS:
A total of 272 consultations were completed, including maternal and adolescent cases. Specialty services comprised 79 ophthalmic, 66 dental, and 22 surgical procedures. Community members emphasized the value of adolescent-focused sessions on contraception, sti prevention, and substance use. Students reported improved ability to counsel adolescents and address sensitive topics. Constraints included limited reproductive health commodities and restricted follow-up capacity.

CONCLUSIONS:
Student-led campaigns can address maternal and adolescent health challenges while strengthening student skills in communication and service delivery. Future campaigns should secure reproductive health supplies, integrate mental health screening, and establish follow-up mechanisms for adolescents.
