INTRODUCTION:
Cervical cancer poses a major public health threat to women worldwide. In response to the WHO’s 2020 global strategy to eliminate cervical cancer, China has taken proactive steps. Through multi-stakeholder efforts, HPV vaccination was integrated into China’s National Immunization Program in November 2025, offering free vaccination to eligible girls. South Africa incorporated HPV vaccines into its national program in 2014 and has since established a school-based delivery system, accumulating valuable experience. This session aims to foster in-depth exchange on HPV vaccination strategies and implementation between China, South Africa, and other countries.

METHODS:
This 60-minute session, co-organized by the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association and the Public Health Association of South Africa, will feature expert presentations and panel discussions. Invited speakers from the World Federation of Public Health Associations, South Africa, and China will share insights on global, national, and regional HPV vaccination strategies and progress, facilitating cross-country learning.

RESULTS:
The session will produce two key outcomes: at the policy level, a systematic review of HPV vaccination strategies and implementation globally, in China, and in South Africa, highlighting distinctive policy approaches; at the practical level, showcased experiences and case studies from China and South Africa to inform actionable pathways for other countries. The exchange will help build consensus on effective vaccination strategies.

CONCLUSIONS:
This session will summarize replicable models from global, Chinese, and South African experiences, aiming to provide practical guidance for countries and regions worldwide in formulating and implementing HPV vaccination strategies, and to jointly advance the global goal of eliminating cervical cancer.
