ABSTRACT:
As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly embedded in health care systems, its role in shaping public health strategies is more vital than ever. This panel discussion explores the transformative potential of AI in addressing critical challenges in public health. Experts from diverse fields — including epidemiology, data science, health care policy, and technology — will examine how AI is being used to enhance disease surveillance, improve health outcomes, optimize resource allocation, and advance health equity. The session will highlight real-world case studies, discuss ethical considerations, and identify opportunities for cross-sector collaboration. Attendees will gain insights into the current landscape and future directions of AI in public health, empowering them to navigate and contribute to this rapidly evolving field. This session is proposed as a panel discussion (ie “fireside chat” with a facilitated dialogue and audience Q&A).
