ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT:
Health challenges in the 21st century transcend geographical, cultural, and socio-economic boundaries, demanding inclusive and equitable approaches to health promotion. Health education, as a people-centred and empowerment-driven discipline, holds immense potential to bridge health gaps and foster sustainable healthy behaviours across populations. This paper explores the concept of Health Education without Borders as a strategic framework for promoting equity and inclusion in diverse communities. Drawing on global health perspectives, social determinants of health, and behavioural change theories, the paper argues that sustainable healthy behaviours can only be achieved when health education initiatives are culturally responsive, inclusive of marginalized populations, and grounded in equity. Using examples from low- and middle-income countries, particularly Nigeria, the paper highlights practical pathways for inclusive health education, the role of community participation, and the need for policy support. The paper concludes that health education without borders is not merely a global ideal but a practical necessity for achieving sustainable health outcomes and leaving no one behind.
