ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION:
Physical illnesses and mental/relational disorders are main causes of impairment of working capacity. It is our mission, to reduce these conditions among our healthcare workers.

METHODS:
We proposed a training program to achieve improved working capacity by acquiring interpersonal skills and promoting conscious adherence to health prevention programs. During 2025, at the hospital of cittadella (padua, italy - 1186 employees) we provided 6 training interventions (frontal lessons and practical activities managed by expert trainers): 1. Progressive muscle relaxation, aimed at healthcare workers of pneumology, intensive care unit, and emergency medical services; 20 participants joined 10 meetings; event recurred 4 times/y; 2. Balint groups, aimed at healthcare workers of general medicine, psychiatry, intensive care unit, and emergency medical services; 12 participants, 10 meetings, 6 times/y; 3. Empathic communication, aimed at human resource managers and public relation officers; 20 participants, 5 meetings, 3 times/y; 4. Mindfulness relaxation (gaia protocol, pisa university, italy), aimed at all workers; 15 participants, 10 meetings, 4 times/y. 5. Health promotion, aimed at all workers; 50 participants, 4 meetings, 2 times/y; 6. Prevention by nutrition (mediterranean diet), aimed at all workers; 20 participants, 4 meetings, 2 times/y.

RESULTS:
We achieved broad participation: 258 trained; 192 F; 76 M; mean age 48 y; mean seniority 17 y. The overall effectiveness indicator considered is percentage of participants who have successfully completed the events they choosed and registered for (94%). There was significant correlation between joining events focused on communication and relational skills by males (p 0,0214 – OR 1,74) and seniority < 15y (p 0,0032 – OR 1,94). subjects aged >45y preferred topics related to health promotion (p 0,0072 – or 1,88).

CONCLUSIONS:
Corporate training investment in communication and relational skills is desired, sustainable and effective in enhancing work performance.
