INTRODUCTION:
Climate-driven disasters—including heatwaves, floods, wildfires, and droughts—are increasing in frequency and severity, with devastating impacts on public health. Traditional emergency preparedness often overlooks climate risk, especially in low-resource or fragile settings.

METHODS:
This panel session will bring together case studies from Pakistan, Libya, Greece, and Sudan, highlighting efforts to integrate climate risk into health preparedness and early warning systems. Participants from WHO, Red Cross Climate Centre, and Ministries of Health will share tools, strategies, and governance frameworks.

RESULTS:
The session will highlight intersectoral preparedness models, climate-health surveillance innovations, and lessons from real-time response efforts. Examples will include anticipatory action in flood-prone zones and heat-health action planning in urban areas.

CONCLUSIONS:
Climate resilience is health resilience. Embedding climate foresight into preparedness is essential to protect lives, especially in vulnerable communities.
